To nobody’s great surprise, except perhaps the die-hard Chinese fans, Australia mopped the floor with China tonight, beating the host country, 90-56. With the win, the Opals move on to the gold medal game Saturday, where they will face the United States in a rematch of the finals of the Sydney and Athens Olympics where the Americans took the gold.
