Yes, there can be only one NCAA Division I national postseason champion. And yes, there will always be reasons for aggrieved, impatient or simply exhausted fans, coaches and players to overlook the postseason WNIT: some of us may remember Utah’s Elaine Elliott, who in 2004 spoke with her players after the NCAA left them out, then told the WNIT’s selection committee not to bother with the Utes.
